Summer Tea Recipes

Mango Coconut Cold Brew 

8 tsp Melez Mambo Tea
1LT water

lemon slices for garnish

 

  1. Add 8tsp of tea to 1LT of water in a pitcher, jar or closed glass container.
  2. Refrigerate for 6-8 hours.
  3. Strain tea leaves. Garnish with a lemon slice & enjoy!

White Peach Sangria

8 tsp Melez Sonata Tea
1 cup water
1 tsp coconut or brown sugar
1/2 cups fresh peach juice
½ cup ice

sliced or cubed fruit: peach, apple, blueberries

  1. Brew 4 tsp of tea in 1/2 a cup of 90C water for 4 minutes, then strain. Let cool for 10 minutes.
  2. Add peach, apples and sugar to a large pitcher and muddle with a muddler or wooden spoon for 45 seconds. Add peach juice and muddle again to combine for 30 seconds.
  3. Add Sonata Tea & ice and stir once more to chill. Serve as is, or with a bit more ice. Garnish with blueberries or peach slices.

 

Cocoa Iced Latte

2 tsp (4 gr) Melez Xocolatl Tea
100ml water (1/2 cup)
75ml milk or mylk (1/3 cup)
1 tsp honey (optional)

  1. Brew 2tsp of Xocolatl Tea in 100ml boiling water for 5-7 min.
  2. Strain leaves and mix in 1tsp honey. Let cool for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Mix tea concentrate and milk, serve over ice and enjoy!

Topkapi Garden Iced Tea

2 tsp (4 gr) Melez Topkapı Tea
100ml water (1/2 cup)
50ml fresh apple juice (1/4 cup)
1 tsp honey, rose sugar (for garnish)

  1. Brew 2tsp of Melez Topkapı Tea in 100ml boiling water for 5 minutes.
  2. Strain leaves and mix in 1tsp honey. Let cool for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Mix tea and apple juice and serve over ice. Rim your glass with rose sugar for special guests.

Tahiti Sunrise Mocktail

2tsp (4 gr) Melez Tahiti Tea
100ml water (1/2 cup)
50ml fresh pineapple juice (1/4 cup)
lime slices
1 tsp honey (optional)

  1. Brew 2tsp Tahiti Tea in 100ml of boiling water for 5-7 min.
  2. Strain leaves and mix in desired sweetener while tea is hot. Let cool for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Blend 50ml of fresh pineapple juice and 1/4 cup of ice.
  4. Mix tea and pineapple juice and serve over ice with a fresh lime slice.

Indulge Sangria

rooibos sangria

2 tsp Melez Indulge Tea
3/4 cups water
1 tsp sugar or brown sugar
1/4 cups fresh orange juice
½ cup ice

sliced fruit: orange, pear, apple, blueberries

  1. Brew 2 tsp of tea in 1/2 a cup of boiling water for 7 minutes, then strain. Let cool for 20-30 minutes. 
  2. Add apples, oranges and sugar to a large pitcher and muddle with a muddler or wooden spoon for 45 seconds. Add orange juice and muddle again to combine for 30 seconds.
  3. Add Indulge Tea & ice and stir once more to chill. Serve as is, or with a bit more ice. Garnish with blueberries or orange slices.

Relax Lavender Lemonade

1/2 cup boiling water
2 teaspoon Melez Relax Tea
1/4 cup homemade lemonade
1/2 cup ice
lavender stick for garnish

  1.  Brew 2 tsp of Melez Relax Tea in 1/2 cup boiling water for 7 minutes. Strain & let cool for 20-30 minutes.
  2. Add 1/4 cup of homemade lemonade to your tea.
  3. Serve over ice, garnish with a lavender stick & enjoy.

Watermelon Matcha

2 cups seeded and cubed watermelon
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon Melez Matcha Tea
1 tsp. agave nectar or honey
Ice

  1.  In a small bowl, whisk together matcha and water. Once smooth, mix in agave nectar.
  2. Puree watermelon in a blender until smooth.
  3. Into two cups filled with ice, pour in the watermelon puree first, then the matcha. Garnish with tiny watermelon wedges or mint.

Golden Elixir Juice


  • 1 orange (or grapefruit)
  • 1 carrot
  • ½ cup mango
  • 2/3 cup coconut water (or coconut milk)
  • 1 tsp Melez Golden Milk Powder

1. Blend all ingredients in a blender. Pass the juice through a strainer to remove the pulp (optional step). Serve over ice & enjoy!

 

Iced Matcha Latte

1 tsp (2 grams) Melez Matcha Tea
1/3 cup water
2/3 cup milk, almond milk or soy milk
1/2 tsp agave nectar or sugar

  1. whisk 1 tsp of matcha into 1/3 cup of 85C water. Use a matcha whisk* or a regular whisk until smooth.
  2. Mix in agave nectar or sugar.
  3. Add 2/3 cup of milk and ice. Enjoy! 

Iced Happiness (for 2)

4 tsp Melez Happy Tea
1 cup boiling water
1 cup cold water
1 handful fresh mint (optional for an extra refresher)
2 tsp sugar or agave nectar
4 sliced strawberries

  1. Brew 4 tsp of Melez Happy Tea and fresh mint in 1 cup of boiling water for 6-7 minutes. (Leave a few mint leaves for garnish)
  2. Strain tea and mix in sugar. Then, mix in 1 cup of cold water. 
  3. Add ice, sliced strawberries, garnish with mint and drink on a sunny day!

Matcha Strawberry Popsicles

1 14 oz can of coconut milk
2 (4gr) tsp Melez Matcha green tea powder
3 tsp Tbsp honey
6 strawberries
3 tsp water

  1. Mix 4 spoons of coconut milk with the matcha powder. Use a matcha whisk* or a regular whisk until smooth.
  2. Add the remaining coconut milk and 2tsp. honey.
  3. Fill the popsicle molds with  ¾ of the matcha-coconut mixture.
  4. Use a blender to blend the strawberries with the water and 1 tsp of honey.
  5. Add the strawberry mixture to the popsicle molds. Place in the freezer for at least 4 hours or until frozen & enjoy!

Refresh Ice Pops

3 tsp Melez Refresh Tea
2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 cup water
1/2 cup cubed pineapple
3 tsp agave nectar or sugar

*Popsicle molds needed for this recipe.

  1. Brew 3 tsp of Refresh Tea in 1 cup of boiling water for 6-7 minutes. Strain.
  2. In a blender or food processor, blend the Refresh tea, lemon and pineapple cubes.
  3. Fill in your popsicle molds with the tea mix and freeze for 4-5 hours and enjoy on a sunny day! 

Forever Beautiful Mocktail (for 2)

2 tsp (4 gr) Melez Beauty Tea
1/2 cup water
60 ml pomegranate juice
1 tsp lime juice
2 tsp rose infused simple syrup
mint and pomegranate kernels for garnish

  1. Brew 2 tsp of Beauty Tea in 1/2 cup of 85C water for 3-4 minutes. Strain the tea leaves and let cool for 10 minutes.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, add brewed tea, lime, pomegranate juice, rose-infused simple syrup and ice. Shake it up! 
  3. Strain into a cocktail glass, garnish with mint and pomegranate kernels and enjoy!

Melez Cold Brewed (for 2)

2 cups water
4 tsp Melez Wake Up Tea
3 tbsp freshly squeezed orange juice
2 tsp agave nectar
Ice

  1. In a jar with lid or closed container, add 4 tsp of Melez Wake Up Tea to 2 cups of cold water.
  2. Refrigerate for 6-8 hours, then strain the leaves. The longer you leave the tea, the stronger the flavor and amount of caffeine.
  3. Add the agave nectar and freshly squeezed orange juice. Serve with ice and enjoy!

Smoking Gun Mocktail (for 1)

1 tsp Melez Bold Tea
1/4 cup water
30ml freshly squeezed orange juice
2 tsp freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
1 tsp maple syrup
ice

orange peel or star anise for garnish

  1. Brew 1 tsp of Melez Bold Tea in 1/4 cup of boiling water for 5 minutes.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, shake the brewed tea, grapefruit juice, orange juice, maple syrup and cracked ice. 
  3. Strain into a martini cocktail shaker, add one ice ball, orange peel and star anise for garnish.

Iced Chai (Spice) Latte

1 tsp (2-3 grams) Melez Spice Tea
1/3 cup water
2/3 cups milk, almond milk or soy milk
1/2 tsp agave nectar or sugar
cinnamon to sprinkle

  1. Brew 1 tsp of Melez Spice Tea in 1/3 cup of boiling water for 6 minutes. Strain and add sugar or agave nectar. 
  2. Add 2/3 cup of milk and ice.
  3. Sprinkle cinnamon and enjoy!


Happy Granita (Snow Cone)

 

 

5 tsp Melez Happy Tea
3 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 cup of water
1/4 cup sugar 

*add 1/2 cup of pureed strawberries for extra deliciousness

Instructions:

  1. Steep 5 teaspoons of tea in 2 cups of boiling water for 5-6 minutes, strain tea leaves, add sugar and lemon juice.
  2. Add mix to a plastic container with lid and freeze for 2-3 hours and then using a fork mix well, breaking the icy portions on the sides and mix in center. Freeze for an additional 1.5 hours.
  3. Using fork, scrape granita into flaky crystals, serve in small bowls and garnish with mint & berry slices.
